Refund Policy
The short version. If the €29 lifetime unlock wasn't what you hoped, ask within 30 days of buying and you get your money back. You don't have to argue your case. The refund is issued by Paddle to whatever you paid with, your account stays, and nothing you logged is deleted or hidden.
What's refundable
Gear Tracker sells exactly one thing: the €29 one-time lifetime unlock. There is no subscription, so there are no renewals to cancel and no partial periods to pro-rate. The free tier costs nothing and needs no refunding.
The 30-day promise
Ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase, for any reason, and it will be granted. "It's not for me" is a complete and sufficient reason. After 30 days, refunds are at our reasonable discretion — write anyway and explain; a fair case gets a fair answer, and a purchase that never worked because of a fault on our side will be refunded whenever it's raised.
How to ask
- Email [email protected] with the transaction reference from your receipt (it looks like txn_…) or the email address you bought under. A person reads this inbox; expect an answer within three business days, usually sooner.
- Or go through Paddle directly at paddle.net — Paddle is the merchant of record for the purchase, its receipt is the one in your inbox, and it can handle refund requests itself under its own refund policy.
Either way, the money is returned by Paddle to your original payment method. Once approved, Paddle typically processes it in a few business days; how fast it shows up then depends on your bank or card issuer.
What a refund does — and doesn't — do
- The lifetime unlock is removed from your account and the free tier's 12-item cap applies again to adding new gear.
- Nothing you logged is deleted, hidden or locked. Every item stays visible and editable, selling still works, history, reminders, photos and the insurance schedule remain, and export always works. Your data is never used as leverage.
- Your account itself is untouched unless you choose to delete it.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you have a legal right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days, as set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms (subject to the usual digital-content rules where use begins immediately with your agreement). This policy's 30 days is deliberately longer and sits on top of those rights — nothing here reduces any right that the law of your country gives you regardless of policy, and nothing here limits refunds Paddle may grant under its own terms.
Chargebacks
Please email us or Paddle before disputing the charge with your bank — it is genuinely faster, and with a 30-day no-questions policy there is nothing a chargeback gets you that simply asking doesn't. Chargebacks on purchases are handled by Paddle under its buyer terms.
Test mode
If the checkout announced "Test mode — Paddle sandbox", no real money moved and there is nothing to refund.
